KMEA CAS  INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE

The INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE is re-constituted in KMEA College of Arts  and Science,on 16\05\2024,  for the Academic Year 2024-’25. The Committee is entrusted with duties of Receiving and Redressing all sorts of Complaints, that may arise from the Students and members of Staff of the Institution. The students can approach the Committee without hesitation with any kind of complaint, that may relate to their Studies, Co –Academic Activities, Internal Marks etc. The Committee will conduct an Enquiry  about the complaint and may resort to  REDRESS the Complaints by finding out apt solutions, at the earliest.

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of KMEA CAS is a mandatory  body, responsible for addressing Complaints of Sexual Harassment and Discrimination. Comprising Faculty, Office  Staff, and Students.,The Committee Receives, Enquire, and Resolves Complaints impartially. operating within a legal framework,.it ensures confidentiality, and support to victims, and educates the Campus community on prevention.through training and accessible reporting mechanisms, the ICC fosters a safe and inclusive environment, where all the staff  members feel Respected and Supported..

 MISSION;: Our Mission is to ensure a SAFE  and INCLUSIVE environment by Reddressing Complaints of sexual harassment and discrimination, promptly, impartially, and   sensitively, through Education, Awareness, and fair Resolution Processes.  The  ICC strives to prevent Harassments, Protect the rights of all Individuals, and promote a culture of Respect and Dignity, within the Campus Community.

OBJECTIVES 

Prompt Response:  To promptly reddress Complaints of Sexual Harassments and Discriminations brought forwarded by  the Students, Faculty, Office Staff, or any members of the Campus Community

Fair and Impartial Investigations:  To Conduct Impartial Investigations into the  reported Incidents, ensuring Confidentiality, Sensitivity and in adherence to FAIR  process.


Resolution and Redressal:  To Recommend Appropriate Actions or Sanctions, in cases ,where Complaints are found to be valid, ensuring Justice for the VICTIM and fair treatments for all the  parties involved.


Prevention and Awareness: To Educate the Campus Community about Sexual Harassment and Discrimination, to Promote Awareness of Rights and Reporting mechanisms and  to conduct Prevention Programs,so as  to create  Safe and Respectful Environments, with in the Institution

Support for Victims:  To Provide support and assistance to victims of harassments, including access to Counselling, Legal Aid, and other Resources as needed.


Compliance and Training:  To Ensure Compliance with relevant LAWS and REGULATIONS, governing the Prevention and Redressal of Sexual harassments, and provide training to ICC members and the broader CampusCcommunity on their Rights, Responsibilities, and the importance of creating a Harassment-Free Environment in the CAMPUS.
Transparency and Accountability:  To Maintain Transparency in the functioning of the ICC, keep accurate Records of Complaints ,Actions taken, and uphold accountability in addressing Complaints Effectively.

Reporting an Incident:; If you have EXPERIENCED  or WITNESSED an incident of Harassment or Discrimination, we encourage you to REPORT  it to the ICC.in any manner. Your Confidentiality will be respected, and we will take Prompt Action to address the matter of the Reported Incident and to redress the COMPLAINT through employing  TIMELY suitable REDRESS  MECHANISM.
